Mobile Technical Product Manager - München - Mobile advertising

A leading full-service mobile ad agency is seeking an experienced and talented Mobile Technical Product Management Lead to help take mobile media to the next level for their advertising agencies and clients.  This highly dynamic role involves developing and delivering innovative mobile advertising solutions for EMEA by leveraging best-in-class technologies and the agency’s partner ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation of the mobile advertising solutions (e.g. rich media, location based apps, mobile video, m-commerce) by working closely with product managers, designers and engineers to distill critical mobile market requirements into functional product specifications for the engineering team and developers.


• Own and evangelize the mobile advertising product plan, roadmap and product requirements document (PRD) for multiple releases while partnering with third party technology partners, IT, product managers, engineering and test.  Prioritize, edit and maintain functional specifications and provide updates to the leadership team.


• Work with development, test, third party technology partners and the leadership team to ensure that our product offerings meet the design, usability, functional, quality, performance, scalability, privacy, security and data integration goals.


• Strong project management skills - oversee and manage multiple development projects including tracking milestones, dependencies and deliverables to ensure projects are consistently delivered on-time, on-budget and with a focus on quality.  Routinely prepare all project documentation, including plans, statements of work, status reports, etc.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of professional work experience in media, advertising, Internet, e-commerce, mobile, information technology or software


• 3 to 5 years of technical product management/development experience with demonstrable success in shipping products in digital media, Internet, e-commerce or software


• 1 to 2 years of mobile marketing or mobile advertising experience (i.e. apps, rich media, video, commerce, coupons)


• Experience writing Product Requirement Document (PRD) and technical product specifications for Internet, e-commerce or software


• Strong communication skills with a proven track record in delivering multiple projects on-time, on-budget and with a focus on quality.  Solid organization and communication skills along with attention to detail


• Good understanding of online media, APIs, ad network integration and analytics systems.  Familiarity with programming language such as C/C++, Javascript, ASP, JSP, PHP, etc


• A self-starter who is results-oriented and has strong interpersonal and communication skills


• Relevant Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree required


• Master of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is a plus


• Fluent in English including strong verbal, written and communications


• Passion for mobile advertising or new media and knowledgeable of ad agency and publisher needs are a plus


• Prior experience writing and testing code or working in an Agile development environment are a plus


• Good understanding of Excel, Basecamp or other project management tools are a plus
